Decision Advisor® Training
“Creating Business Models that Matter — Hands-On Training Using Decision Advisor”
“Decision Advisor enabled me to construct a business model in four hours that would have previously taken weeks.” —Business Development Manager of a major aircraft jet engine manufacturer
Dates: 13–14 March 2007 • 0800 to 1700 each day
Location: Vallombrosa Conference Center, Menlo Park, CA
The training course will focus on “creating business models that matter” — business models that bring stakeholders and decision makers together with a common understanding of the factors that contribute to economic value and the risks and uncertainties that must be managed to achieve success. Using SmartOrg’s highly successful decision modeling workshop approach, we will show you how to develop “value maps” — graphic representations of technical and commercial factors that influence the value of new products, R&D projects and other business opportunities — and how to produce results in real-time that communicate upside benefits and downside risks to decision makers. We will provide each student with a copy of Decision Advisor to use throughout the course.
Who Will Benefit
The course will be of benefit to anyone responsible for designing, building or analyzing business models, including business analysts, business consultants, financial analysts, and functional specialists (R&D, product development). Technical expertise in developing spreadsheet models, while beneficial, is not a requirement; Decision Advisor handles formulas, risks and uncertainty calculations and other technical aspects of the modeling process.
